This has got to be the best Ministry Of Sound collection yet. Great tracklisting with some epic 80's electronic anthems. I know all the songs on this, which makes a very pleasant change from other 80's albums with way too many fillers. There is hit after hit on this album! It brings back some great memories too.

A pretty impressive collection on 2 cd's only knew the band from the singles, but the cd has shown me the depth of their work.Could have done without the crazy in love cover, but a minor gripe in what is a very accomplished collection of high quality music.

Judging by this track listing this is a very good CD indeed, surpassing both NOW 72 and NOW 73. Some great songs are however mysteriously absent like Alexandra Burke's "Bad Boys" (a travesty that this song isn't on it in my opinion!), Take That's top 10 "Said It All", Britney Spears' "3", Lady GaGa's "Love Game", JLS' "Everybody In Love", Leona Lewis' upcoming single "Happy", Kelly Clarkson's "Already Gone", Westlife's "What About Now", Pussycat Dolls' "Hush, Hush; Hush, Hush", and possibly others too.

This stuff is so much more original and well crafted than the usual cheesy dance stuff, that usually makes me want to puke. The pop, and rock influence is obvious. The keyboard playing in 'harder faster' is fantastic, and the guitar solo in the wonderful 'Digital Love' is one of my favourite ever (and I'm a Vai and Satriani fan) - WHO PLAYED IT!!? I particularly like the way they use the electronica to warp the sounds of their guitars and keyboards. O.K., I believe they're using other peoples stuff in samples, but they do it so cleverly.

Reviews The Resistance - Muse


The change between Absolution and Black Holes And Revelations was quite a leap to be honest. But this tops it all. Think about stepping stones and that's what we have here. BHAR was merely a stepping stone from Absolution to this.

The album opens with Uprising, a punchy pop/rock song with a blast of goldfrapp-esque rhythm. It drives you along as you listen. A very well written song that will have you returning to it quite often. 8/10

Second is Resistance, the title track. Opens with a slow synthy build up and then cracks in this little piano riff that'll make your spine shiver and your insides go all funny. It's a beautiful opening complimented by a catchy bridge and a heart felt chorus. The ending cools down again from the rest off the song to a synthy end. An awesome song 9/10

The third track, Undisclosed Desires really closes in on more chart music than before. It has many loops and doesn't have a complicated structure. The lack of guitar work in the song gives it a different feel to other Muse songs, and the lyrics are glorious. A well written winner 10/10

United States Of Eurasia. Slow piano to start, with an intense build up which hits into an awesome, arabic sounding pentatonic melody/riff. It's powerful and thrilling. The before the chopin piece at the end, the repetition of the work eurasia just makes this track an epic masterpiece. 7/10

The Black eyed peas new album The E.N.D, is very different to what they have prevouosly done, now there doing more electro hip hop. But it works, a correct move, and the songs are great:
Sinlge 1: Boom Boom Pow. One crazy name for a song, but what a song, fanstantic - 8/10
Single 2: I Gotta Feeling. Amazing second single, exerllant - 8.5/10
NEW Single 3: Meet Me Halfway. The Best song on the album - 10/10

Alive: good song - 7/10
Amma Be: very good, well done - 8/10
Ring A Ling: only black eyed peas could do a song about a phone ringing, and it be good - 7.5/10
Electic city: 2nd best song on the album, dont say electicity its electic city - 9.5/10

Other songs on the album are just as good together - 7/10
In all the album gets a score of 9/10

His best album to date.

He delivers, the best he's ever been and can only get stronger from now. He now looks slimmer, bolder and creative. This is what I love about him. I play his album over and over again every day and will never get sick of it.

Michael Buble is back - BIG TIME! I've been a fan for quite a few years - he was first brought to my attention by Michael Parkinson towards the end of his chat show series. This album is superb, fantastic and any other hyperbole you can think of. The versions of standard songs are really quite different, but only caused me slight hesitation before I loved them and his origianl compositions are excellent. Incredible value for money from amazon and worth much more than any money could buy.

Reviews I Dreamed a Dream


This album showcases Susans voice extremely well. The mix of classic and modern songs along with some well known hymms provide the listener with a relaxing enjoyable album. The only disappointment for me was her rendition of "I dreamed a dream", on the album its too perfect and it has lost some of that raw emotion on the performance of BGT. Don't get me wrong, it is excellent but I dont get those goose bumps like I do when I watch her audition on You Tube.

Susan has proven that if you have a dream then you should go after it. I am sure that many people have been inspired by Susan which has no doubt added to her popularity.
